Легендарный посох «Гнев Дракона» получит встроенного маунта

Легендарный посох «[hide]Гнев Дракона, вечный покой Таресгосы[/hide]», появившийся в MMORPG World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

WoW Moviewatch: Steak Sandwiches

[hide]Oxhorn[/hide] released this video two years ago, but now is a great time to revisit it as we celebrate America’s Independence Day. The video, called [hide]Steak Sandwiches[/hide], features two of Oxhorn’s regular characters. Oxhorn and Mortuus take a break to enjoy a favorite pasttime of Oxhorn’s Horde. That pasttime, specifically, is strapping gnomes to rockets and firing them into the air.

This video is pretty short and has the same endearing sense of comedy that Oxhorn displays in all his movies. Interestingly, Mortuus is incredibly well-spoken in this video. I usually think of Mortuus as being restricted to leet-speak, but that’s clearly not the case here.

Interested in the wide world of [hide]machinima[/hide]? We have new movies every weekday here on [hide]WoW Moviewatch[/hide]! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at [hide]moviewatch@wowinsider.com[/hide].

Blizzard наносит упреждающий удар по SWTOR, считают аналитики

Арвинд Бхатиа (Arvind Bhatia) из аналитической компании Sterne Agee снова тревожит мир своими пророчествами. Так, на днях мудрый индус [hide]истолковал[/hide] введение бесплатного [hide]бесконечного триала[/hide] в MMORPG World of Warcraft как «упреждающий удар по Star Wars: The Old Republic».

The Queue: No really, it’s a fake

Welcome back to [hide]The Queue[/hide], the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky, senior Star Trek editor, will be your host today.

So let’s just reiterate something here…

The «[hide]next expansion leak[/hide]» everyone is going to be/has been talking about in guild chat? It’s a fake.

Don’t be That Guy who says it’s not a fake. Because it’s not real.

Bjorn asked:

Is there a way to change your account so you have to input your authenticator code every time you log in? It just made me feel better about my account security when I had to do it. Blood Pact: Looking at warlock spec balance

Every week, WoW Insider brings you [hide]Blood Pact[/hide] for [hide]affliction[/hide], [hide]demonology[/hide] and [hide]destruction[/hide] warlocks. For those who disdain the watered-down arts that other cling to like a safety blanket … For those willing to test their wills against the nether and claim the power that is their right … [hide]Blood Pact[/hide] welcomes you.

This week’s Blood Pact comes at you from the road. To celebrate this whole freedom thing, I took a trip with small-town writer Fox Van Allen to visit friends in Philly. It’s a neat city. They have a bell or something; I was told there were some kind of papers signed here a while back that people cared about. All of it seems a little over the top for my liking.

The newest patch has been out for a nearly a week now. It’s been a fun little time. There’s been some raiding, some dailies to do, even a few great quest chains. I’ve had a blast. Warlocks saw only a few changes this time around, but the change in encounter design itself has altered the way that we look at our specs in general. Here’s a quick little ditty on how we’re adjusting to this new life.[hide]Continue reading Blood Pact: Looking at warlock spec balance[/hide]Filed under: [hide]Warlock[/hide], [hide](Warlock) Blood Pact[/hide][hide]Blood Pact: Looking at warlock spec balance[/hide] originally appeared on [hide]WoW Insider[/hide] on Mon, 04 Jul 2011 20:00:00 EST. Spiritual Guidance: Raid and pre-raid gear in patch 4.2 for holy and discipline priests

Every week, WoW Insider brings you [hide]Spiritual Guidance[/hide] for [hide]discipline[/hide], [hide]holy[/hide] and [hide]shadow[/hide] priests. [hide]Dawn Moore[/hide] covers healing for discipline and holy priests and babysits [hide]Fox Van Allen[/hide] on weekends while his warlock parents go to the cinema. Dawn also writes for [hide]LearnToRaid.com[/hide] and produces the [hide]Circle of Healing Podcast[/hide].

«Oh, no! There’s no spirit cloth in Firelands! What do we do?!»

Calm down.

I don’t know why, but there has been some serious fear-mongering in the priest community this past week regarding the lack of spirit cloth gear in the Firelands. All over the internet, priests are screaming for their lives, running in circles, drinking Kool-Aid from the Twilight Council, and sending me really weird emails. (Apparently, they even sent Fox some emails too. Go figure.) Though I have no idea how this all started, I’m going to lay this out so it’s easy to understand: You do not need to freak out about the lack of spirit cloth gear in the Firelands.

If you’ll give me your undivided attention for the next few paragraphs, I’ll not only explain why, I’ll walk you through all the pretty gear you can get from the Firelands, daily quests, and then some.[hide]Continue reading Spiritual Guidance: Raid and pre-raid gear in patch 4.2 for holy and discipline priests[/hide]Filed under: [hide]Priest[/hide], [hide](Priest) Spiritual Guidance[/hide][hide]Spiritual Guidance: Raid and pre-raid gear in patch 4.2 for holy and discipline priests[/hide] originally appeared on [hide]WoW Insider[/hide] on Mon, 04 Jul 2011 19:00:00 EST. Two Bosses Enter: Ozruk wins Cataclysm Season 1

In [hide]Two Bosses Enter[/hide], WoW Insider’s series of fantasy death matches, the bosses of World of Warcraft face off in the squared circle. Your vote determines who wins and claims the season title.

Within the tournament administration pavilion, Vanessa delicately turned the pages of the ponderous Tome of Champions, which sat upon a stone pedestal engraved with the righteous fist of the Silver Hand. It was the record book of all who have won and lost in sanctioned gladiatorial battle in Azerothian history, though Vanessa did not know the difference between sanctioned and unsanctioned or who even sanctioned it to begin with.

After many patient moments, she reached the record of the most recent gladiatorial season. The brackets were an unholy mess, largely thanks to her interference, with countless matchups hastily crossed out and refilled with her name or that of those in her employ in place of the original combatants. A glorious, sneaky campaign to be sure, but it wasn’t enough: Ozruk’s name had gone into the records as the winner of the season despite her efforts. She sneered and turned the page again.

A pleased gasp escaped Vanessa’s lips. The brackets for the next season were blank! Not a single person had registered yet! She quickly slipped a fountain pen from her tunic and set it to paper.

She only managed to get down a single name before Tirion Fordring stormed up behind her. «Vanessa! What do you think you’re doing, girl!? Get away from that! I will not let you continue to make a mockery of this tournament!»[hide]Continue reading Two Bosses Enter: Ozruk wins Cataclysm Season 1[/hide]Filed under: [hide]Two Bosses Enter[/hide][hide]Two Bosses Enter: Ozruk wins Cataclysm Season 1[/hide] originally appeared on [hide]WoW Insider[/hide] on Mon, 04 Jul 2011 18:00:00 EST. The Daily Quest: Feeling hot, hot, hot

WoW Insider’s on a [hide]Daily Quest[/hide] to bring you interesting, informative, and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.

Many of you may be wondering what exactly is going on in the video above. I can quite earnestly answer that I have absolutely no idea, but it was one of the first videos to pop up when I looked up the song on YouTube, and as perplexed as I was, I simply had to share it.

Moving on, today we’ve got a few more posts surrounding the ins and outs of the Firelands, as well as some thoughts on another Blizzard idea.

[hide]Icy Veins[/hide] has quite possibly the most comprehensive guide to the [hide]Firelands daily quests[/hide] I have ever seen.

[hide]MMO Melting Pot[/hide] fills us all in on how to unlock those pesky [hide]iLevel 365 profession patterns[/hide] in the Firelands.

[hide]Mana Obscura[/hide] shares some thought about WoW’s new [hide]unlimited trial period[/hide].

Just for fun, [hide]Big Bear Butt[/hide] shares the joy of looking at the game through the eyes of [hide]an eight-year-old[/hide].

Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following? Just leave us a comment, and you may see it here tomorrow! Be sure to check out our [hide]WoW Resources Guide[/hide] for more WoW-related sites.

Gold Capped: How patch 4.2 broke the auction house

Every week, WoW Insider brings you [hide]Gold Capped[/hide], in which [hide]Fox Van Allen[/hide] and Basil «[hide]Euripides[/hide]» Berntsen aim to show you how to make money on the auction house. Capitalism is the best, and communism is for dirty, Soviet-sympathizing hippies. If you disagree, [hide]Email Fox[/hide] or twitter him [hide]@foxvanallen[/hide] so you can be added to the CIA’s «list.»

On June 24, 2010, I woke up at 4 a.m. I grabbed some coffee, got into my car with my roommates, and went to the Cambridgeside Galleria mall to stand in a ridiculously long line. The goal: to get an Apple iPhone 4. It was the latest and greatest thing, and we all had to have it.

A very similar dynamic is happening right now in the World of Warcraft. There are a slew of new-for-patch-4.2 items currently available on the auction house. New BOE gear from Firelands. New tailoring and leatherworking patterns. New blacksmithing plans. Living Embers. New PVP gear. They’re all — at least in theory — high-demand items. After all, given players’ insatiable lust for better gear, customers should be lining up around the (virtual) block to be buying all this stuff.

But on many servers, they’re not. The demand is clearly there, but markets are struggling to function.

What happened? Why did the market break? What are players doing wrong? And how exactly are you supposed to play the market with these new-for-4.2 items?[hide]Continue reading Gold Capped: How patch 4.2 broke the auction house[/hide]Filed under: [hide]Economy[/hide], [hide]Cataclysm[/hide], [hide]Gold Capped[/hide][hide]Gold Capped: How patch 4.2 broke the auction house[/hide] originally appeared on [hide]WoW Insider[/hide] on Mon, 04 Jul 2011 16:00:00 EST.
