Тройная скорость прокачки в WoW до 80-го уровня

Услуга «Пригласи друга» в MMORPG World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

WoW Moviewatch: Shake that!

This an older machinima, created by [hide]Baron Soosdon[/hide] four years ago. [hide]Shake That![/hide] shows off what the bosses and NPCs do while servers are down for maintenance … they shake that thing! This video came up in conversation among the hallowed halls of WoW Insider’s news room, so we absolutely had to share it with our devoted fans.

Shake That! is a great machinima for hanging out with friends and getting your groove on. I’ve been putting together a Machinima Dance Party YouTube playlist lately, and now I’m going to stamp this video at the very top of it.

Interested in the wide world of [hide]machinima[/hide]? We have new movies every weekday here on [hide]WoW Moviewatch[/hide]! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at [hide]moviewatch@wowinsider.com[/hide].

The Queue: Let’s get some pony all up in here man

Welcome back to [hide]The Queue[/hide], the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. [hide]Anne Stickney[/hide] has totally taken over this shindig, see?

It has come to my attention that not everypony was particularly happy with a certain Mr. Caraway’s [hide]recent representation[/hide] of the fair pony citizens of Equestria. Let me assure you, we love ponies here. As an owner of ponies all the way back to a G1 Minty (flat hooves circa 1982, not those concave ones they came out with later — we’re talking old school ponies, man) and an avid collector of My Little Pony merchandise and memorabilia, I would like to assure all residents of Equestria that Mr. Caraway will be properly dealt with.

Please ignore any screams and/or hysterical laughter of one gone mad; I assure you that’s just background noise that is all in a day’s work here at WoW Insider.

Moving on, why don’t we address a few pressing issues regarding the status of orcs and dragons on the internet? Aw heck, why don’t we answer two questions at the same time?

Andrew R. asks:

My fiancee picked up a few of the WoW books on sale. I have to wait until Christmas to read them but so far she picked up Arthas, Stormrage and Cataclysm. Is that the order I want to read the books? Are there any books before Arthas that setup the story I should pick up?

Vector asks:

I’ve read the Warcraft Archive (Day of the Dragon, Lord of the Clans, The Last Guardian, Of Blood and Honor) and finishing up the War of the Ancients Archive (The Well of Eternity, The Demon Soul, The Sundering). What book(s) logically follow the Sundering? Breakfast Topic: What have you tried in WoW that you never thought you’d enjoy?

This [hide]Breakfast Topic[/hide] has been brought to you by [hide]Seed[/hide], the AOL guest writer program that brings [hide]your words[/hide] to WoW Insider’s pages.

WoW was my first MMO, and when I started playing six years ago, I was terrified of everything that wasn’t «kill 10 boars.» Dungeons? I’d run them with a friend, but it took some coaxing. Raiding? No way. It seemed way too complicated, not to mention having an audience anytime I noobed it up. PVP? That just didn’t seem like something that would interest me all.

If I’d kept that attitude, I can’t imagine I’d still be playing WoW, although Cataclysm’s linear, quest-driven nature might have pulled me back in. Today, dungeons are second nature to me, just like they are to any other MMO player. I finally tried raiding during The Burning Crusade at the prodding of my guildmates, who needed a healer. After the very first night, I completely forgot what I’d been so nervous about.

As for PVP, I now have a level 85 warlock whose sole purpose is melting fellow players’ faces and am leveling a warrior completely through battlegrounds. I’m not sure why I didn’t think I’d be interested in PVP, but I was wrong.

After years spent playing a game, it makes sense that all of these things are second nature, so it’s easy to forget what it was like when everything was new. The fact that once upon a time both entering a raid and healing fellow players seemed overwhelming is kind of ridiculous to me now that I do it three nights a week.

What about WoW made you nervous at first or just didn’t seem interesting? What made you try it? Did you change your mind?

Patch 4.2 hotfixes for July 6

Blizzard’s at it again — or rather, Zarhym is, as a another round of [hide]patch 4.2[/hide] hotfixes have gone up this evening over at the official blog. Included with the list are a host of fixes and tweaks to the Firelands raid as well as the dailies surrounding it. For those looking to begin heroic modes, start your engines! For those simply wanting to complete that blasted daily with the Wounded Hyjal Defenders, you may now breathe a sigh of relief.

In the Firelands, Heroic difficulty has been activated and is accessible in all regions. Let the world firsts begin!

Eternal Embers are now epic quality.

There are now many more Wounded Hyjal Defenders in the Molten Front. While I’m sure they are flattered by all the attention, you guys can stop fighting over them now.

Characters should no longer disconnect or receive movement enforcement errors when certain spells, abilities, or item effects are used while on moving transports. I’m not sure what this means, but if it stops people from disconnecting on Beth’tilac, I’m all for it.

Follow after the break for the full list of hotfixes.[hide]Continue reading Patch 4.2 hotfixes for July 6[/hide]Filed under: [hide]News items[/hide], [hide]Cataclysm[/hide], [hide]Hotfixes[/hide][hide]Patch 4.2 hotfixes for July 6[/hide] originally appeared on [hide]WoW Insider[/hide] on Thu, 07 Jul 2011 00:15:00 EST. General

An issue has been corrected that would cause players to lose their progress towards Veteran of the Horde II, Veteran of the Alliance II, Warbringer of the Horde, or Warbound Veteran of the Alliance if Veteran of the Horde or Veteran of the Alliance were complete.

Classes

Characters should no longer disconnect or receive movement enforcement errors when certain spells, abilities, or item effects are used while on moving transports.

Druid

Faerie Fire and Faerie Fire (Feral) will now remove Stealth, Invisibility, Vanish, Shadowmeld and Prowl from players.
Mages

When using Spellsteal on a shaman, Lava Flows will no longer be given to the mage as a buff. The buff, however, will be removed from the shaman.
Priests

Shadowfiend is now causing the casting priest to enter combat when cast on enemy players.
Shaman

A Fulmination critical strike for more than 30,000 damage (10-player) or 45,000 damage (25-player) should now properly interrupt Rageface’s Face Rage in the Firelands.
When Lava Flows is stolen by a mage via Spellsteal, the mage will no longer gain the Lava Flows buff.

Dungeons & Raids

Firelands

Heroic difficulty has been activated and is accessible in all regions.
Pet corpses, guardians, and placed items should no longer provoke Engorged Broodlings to a premature detonation.
The pack of creatures fighting each other around Flamewaker Beast Handlers will stop fighting each other and attack the raid once provoked.
Flamewaker Subjugators now award 50 reputation, up from 15, while Flamewaker Animators award no reputation or loot.
The aggro radius on the third pack of Hells Hounds on the way to Beth’tilac has been reduced.
Unstable Pyrelords now have an active stealth detection aura present when the gauntlet is triggered which prevents stealth classes from traversing up the hill undetected.

Baleroc

Baleroc’s health has been increased on 10-player Heroic difficulty.
Baleroc’s gate now despawns properly when he resets.
Shards of Torment despawn when Baleroc resets even if they are spawned after Baleroc has despawned.
Lord Rhyolith

Lord Rhyolith can now be quickly snapped from left to right, or right to left, if the appropriate amount of damage is dealt to the opposite foot.
Lord Rhyolith now prefers to activate volcanoes that are in front of him over volcanoes that are behind him.
Lord Rhyolith now spawns slightly further back on his platform, allowing players to stand on the edge of the terrain and not aggro him.
Lord Rhyolith no longer despawns when reaching the end of the encounter area, and does not despawn when casting Drink Magma from any of the possible locations.
Lord Rhyolith now summons in volcanoes when intended, and it is no longer possible for the first set of volcanoes to be ignored.
Majordomo Staghelm

Majordomo Staghelm has had his health increased by 10% on Heroic difficulty.

Ragnaros

Living Meteors no longer evade and return to their spawn point when their original target dies or uses a threat drop. They will instead choose a new target.
The Sons of Flame can no longer be missed by melee attacks and abilities.
Shannox

Shannox will now rotate when appropriate instead of moving to get in range of his target while being tanked.
Shannox will always use Hurl Spear after a raid wipes, even if Riplimb collapsed just prior to the group wiping.

Items

Jamus’Vaz and Faldren Tillsdale are once again offering players Conquest Points in exchange for Valor Points.
Normal and Heroic versions of Deflecting Star now correctly bind when picked up.
Eternal Embers are now epic quality.
Normal and Heroic versions of Pauldrons of Roaring Flame now have mastery rating instead of hit rating.
Ruthless, Vicious, and Bloodthirsty Gladiator’s Clasps of Cruelty have had their Stamina values increased to remain consistent with equivalent belts. Note that the tooltip will require a patch to update.

Quests & Creatures

Hyjal Regrowth & Molten Front

Players are now receiving 6 Marks of the World Tree from Caught Unawares and 10 marks from The Sanctuary Must Not Fall, which now allows players to obtain 20 marks as soon as they finish their first days’ worth of daily quests and unlock the Molten Front. The amount of marks offered is properly updated in player Quest Logs as well.
There are now many more Wounded Hyjal Defenders to accommodate a large concurrency of players in the Molten Front.
The Fiery Behemoths and Molten Behemoths are now the same size.
Rayne Feathersong has been moved from the cave and is still available as a daily quest giver at Malfurion’s Breach.

Have you ever found bored NPCs?

This post has been brought to you by [hide]Seed[/hide], the AOL guest writer program that brings [hide]your words[/hide] to WoW Insider’s pages.

While leveling an alt through Northrend recently — more specifically, on the quest [hide]It Could Kill Us All[/hide] — I found a most curious sight in Crystalsong Forest. There is a female night elf jumping from bench to bench on the ruins. From a distance, I thought it was a player and flew in closer, only to discover it wasn’t a player at all! I couldn’t believe it; I haven’t seen an NPC act in such a player-controlled manner before. I flew around to see if any others were doing it and only managed to aggro and kill several without any luck.

While doing archaeology, I’ve seen some zombies jump from wall to wall on the troll ruins in Stranglethorn Vale. But that isn’t something a player could actually do out of boredom, such as bench hopping — the distance they jump is too great. It made me curious, though: Are there other NPCs out there that act inordinately player-controlled? Not as in generic city guard walking from point A to point B or the conversations that take place regularly, but as in erratic actions, seemingly random hopping, or other typical boredom actions? Are there more NPCs like the Shandaral Spirits out there?

Spiritual Guidance: Gearing up a shadow priest in Patch 4.2

Every week, WoW Insider brings you [hide]Spiritual Guidance[/hide] for [hide]discipline[/hide], [hide]holy[/hide] and [hide]shadow[/hide] priests. Every Wednesday, shadow priesting expert [hide]Fox Van Allen[/hide] rains sheer purple destruction down on all who oppose him (and even those who don’t, provided they drop shiny purple epics on the way down).

To some, [hide]patch 4.2[/hide] represented a great new opportunity to explore new content, including an «interesting» new quest chain involving «World-Shaman» Thrall and a new daily questing hub/zone, the Molten Front. To others, it was a chance to make money hand over fist on the auction house. To us shadow priests hoping to be the best we can be in the new Firelands raid, however, patch 4.2 means grinding.

Hyjal dailies. Firelands trash. ZA/ZG runs. Sweet, familiar, awful grinding.

For the most intrepid of grinders, your pain-inducing effort has finally borne fruit — some of us already have the valor points saved up to buy an item at our faction’s vendor in Stormwind or Orgrimmar. But what exactly should we be buying? Is the Molten Front grind worth it? And where exactly do you find the best pieces of equipment for your patch 4.2 shadow priest?[hide]Continue reading Spiritual Guidance: Gearing up a shadow priest in Patch 4.2[/hide]Filed under: [hide]Priest[/hide], [hide](Priest) Spiritual Guidance[/hide], [hide]Cataclysm[/hide][hide]Spiritual Guidance: Gearing up a shadow priest in Patch 4.2[/hide] originally appeared on [hide]WoW Insider[/hide] on Wed, 06 Jul 2011 19:00:00 EST. Encrypted Text: Patch 4.2 gear guide for rogues

Every week, WoW Insider brings you [hide]Encrypted Text[/hide] for [hide]assassination[/hide], [hide]combat[/hide] and [hide]subtlety[/hide] rogues. [hide]Chase Christian[/hide] will be your guide to the world of shadows every Wednesday. Feel free to [hide]email me[/hide] with any questions or article topics you would like to see covered.

If you’re like me, you’ve been spending way too much time in the Dungeon Finder queue lately. With a plethora of [hide]new loot available[/hide] in patch 4.2, we need to earn valor points as fast as possible. Patch 4.2 introduced several [hide]new gear options[/hide], including new valor point vendors, a new reputation vendor, new leatherworking recipes, and even unlockable vendors. Rather than idling around a capital city, I prefer to work on my daily quests as I wait. I want to minimize the amount of time it takes me to upgrade my gear, and multitasking is the best way to accomplish that.

The most important determining factor in the gear available to you will be whether or not you are raiding in Firelands. A large subset of the new rogue gear is only available to raiders, whether that’s due to requiring a certain reputation that you can only obtain by raiding or the fact that the items only drop from bosses in Firelands. Patch 4.2 brings gear for rogues at every level, including those who aren’t raiding for one reason or another. Your goal should be to identify the gear that is available to you, and then to prioritize that gear and start working towards acquiring it.[hide]Continue reading Encrypted Text: Patch 4.2 gear guide for rogues[/hide]Filed under: [hide]Rogue[/hide], [hide](Rogue) Encrypted Text[/hide][hide]Encrypted Text: Patch 4.2 gear guide for rogues[/hide] originally appeared on [hide]WoW Insider[/hide] on Wed, 06 Jul 2011 18:00:00 EST.
