Главу гильдии можно будет сместить в патче 4.3

В патче 4.3 главу гильдии MMORPG World of Warcraft можно будет сместить, если он надолго пропал из игры, [hide]сообщает[/hide] компания Blizzard Entertainment. Так, если он не появляется в игре в течение 30 дней, в новостях гильдии появляется уведомление, которое видят лишь те, кто может занять место отсутствующего. Кто первый нажмет кнопку «согласен» — тот и станет главой гильдии.

Breakfast Topic: To pee or not to pee?

[hide][/hide]
This [hide]Breakfast Topic[/hide] has been brought to you by [hide]Seed[/hide], the AOL guest writer program that brings [hide]your words[/hide] to WoW Insider’s pages.

It happens to all of us. You’ve just wiped for the third (or maybe 30th?) time on a boss. The mage decided it would be more fun to jog in circles than to target the adds he was assigned, and your raid leader’s crunching numbers and calling out changes to the strategy while everyone makes the graveyard run.

You’re already back to the boss’s room, you’re flasked up, and you’ve eaten your appropriate buff food. You know your job and are anxious for the kill, because your best-in-slot item is just sitting there waiting for you. All you need is the signal to go, and you’ll be ready to unleash hell on this beast. It’s during this anxious moment when you realize …

You have to pee.

Suddenly, this has become your overwhelming priority. You start to stand up, but then, the raid leader sends out a ready check. What do you do? Do you hit Not Ready, make a quick apology, and race for the bathroom? Do you send your raid leader a whisper, begging for a few extra minutes? Do you hold it in, click Ready and fight even harder, knowing that the boss must die so that freedom can flow free?

Or do you just call for a clean up in aisle three?

Around Azeroth: It’s today that’s the day of the plunge

[hide][/hide]
Today’s screenshot was submitted by the first and favorite of my very own characters, [hide]Apollinariya[/hide] of [hide]Bloodmoon Chosen[/hide] on Argent Dawn (US-H). Yes, yes, I just picked her up again after a few years, so the gear is a bit outdated.

Anyway, today is my real-life wedding day.

Unfortunately, my husband doesn’t play WoW, so I had to go solo for the wedding screenshot. Here stands the blushing bride, waiting for her ardent swain. The white wedding dress is to dazzle him when he first looks upon her radiant beauty. The glowing daggers are for if he changes his mind at the last minute. It’s good to be prepared.

The Queue: Bedroom Eyes

Welcome back to [hide]The Queue[/hide], the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Here’s the latest from the Dum Dum Girls, «Bedroom Eyes.» Dee Dee Dum Dum (one Miss Kristen Gundred) used to be in a San Diego band I adored, Grand Ole Party; but, like most bands I discover before they hit it big, they broke up after their first album was released. The Dum Dum Girls are a way different animal than GOP, but at least their latest album is an improvement over the first, which sounded like it was recorded in a public bathroom.

Necromann asked:

This morning, I queued as healer for heroics on my pally alt. After the first pull in GB, the group told me to leve or they would kick me because my gear sucked, my pally is 342 equipped, which is plenty to heal heroics in. (On my disc priest, I’ve been healing heroics since everyone was 330 or so) I’ve had similar occurrences happen to me, my friends, and pugs. My question is has anyone else noticed a rise in hostility in the LFD recently, or have I just had a bunch bad luck in my groups?

Hard to base trends on anecdotal evidence. There will always be jerks in the Dungeon Finder, just as there will always be guys who AFK to smoke, or mages who roll on spirit gear, or tanks who run in full resilience gear. It’s the facts of life, the facts of li-i-ife.

Raid Rx: Patch 4.3 healing thoughts

Every week, [hide]Raid Rx[/hide] will help you quarterback your healers to victory! Your host is [hide]Matt Low[/hide], the grand poohbah of [hide]World of Matticus[/hide] and a founder of [hide]Plus Heal[/hide], a discussion community for healers of all experience levels and interests. Catch his weekly podcast on healing, raiding and leading, the [hide]Matticast[/hide].

There are a plethora of healing changes that are about to make their way through in the upcoming [hide]4.3 patch[/hide]. While shaman, paladins and priests are going to be receiving changes or buffs, druids will be on the business end of a nerf bat. We now have a first look at the tier 13 healing set bonuses. Instead of playing off mana regen similar to tier 12, it’ll instead have an effect on spell usage affordability. Speaking of tier bonuses, overall raid survivability goes up with the introduction of tank four-piece bonuses.

Let’s examine the upcoming healing changes, shall we?[hide]Continue reading Raid Rx: Patch 4.3 healing thoughts[/hide]Filed under: [hide]Raid Rx (Raid Healing)[/hide][hide]Raid Rx: Patch 4.3 healing thoughts[/hide] originally appeared on [hide]WoW Insider[/hide] on Fri, 30 Sep 2011 09:00:00 EST. Around Azeroth: Roll out the barrel

[hide][/hide]
Brewmaster [hide]Tigglath[/hide] of [hide]alea iacta est dignitas[/hide] on Earthen Ring (US-H) knows the true Horde way to prevent a hangover is to never stop drinking in the first place. Tigglath found himself stuck inside at keg after killing Coren Direbrew and being ported back to the Brewfest grounds. The only way to keep himself from drowning was to drink all the beer before his breath meter ran out. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.

The Queue: Helena Beat

Welcome back to [hide]The Queue[/hide], the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Let’s do another weekend where I play new music I like for you. Here’s the opening track from Foster the People’s debut album Torches.

Andre asked:

My account was hacked yesterday and banned earlier today for exploitative use of the economy. I’ve never bought gold or powerleveling services, nor have I ever bought and account or character. I submitted a ticket to Blizz. Will I be able to get my account back?

I saw in the comments that this problem is already solved, but here’s an answer for posterity. «Economy exploitation» is the blanket term used when an account is used for illicit purposes, such as selling gold or spamming ads. It’s normally the result of an account compromise. Just appeal the closure through the normal channels, and you should be fine.[hide]Continue reading The Queue: Helena Beat[/hide]Filed under: [hide]The Queue[/hide][hide]The Queue: Helena Beat[/hide] originally appeared on [hide]WoW Insider[/hide] on Fri, 30 Sep 2011 11:00:00 EST. WoW Moviewatch: I Tried to Play Alliance

The ’80s called — they said they wanted someone to parody [hide]She Blinded Me With Science[/hide]. After all, that was one of the best songs to come from the decade, and a whole new generation of geeks is missing out on it. [hide]Palette-Swap Ninja[/hide] heard the call and stepped up to the plate.

[hide]I Tried to Play Alliance[/hide] is an amazingly executed parody. Not only does it really sound like the original song, but Palette-Swap Ninja really nailed the vocals. If you’re not paying attention closely to the lyrics, you might well mistake it for the original song.

Overall, this parody is just fantastic. My hat’s off to the creators, and I hope they keep doing more.

Reviewing the Razer Nostromo: A comfortable place to rest your hand

Back in July, I featured a submission on Reader UI of the Week from reader Steppinrazor which featured a [hide]dual-peripheral setup[/hide] of the [hide]Razer Naga MMO mouse[/hide] and the Razer Nostromo. The Razer Nostromo is a peripheral that acts as a keyboard for input commands, with buttons for clicking, a D-pad, a scrollwheel, and much more. In my discussion of Steppinrazor’s UI, I made note that I was not privy to the Nostromo, having never had the pleasure of resting my fingers on its keys. Now, however, I’ve spent considerable time with the Nostromo and can tell you my story. Here is my review of the Razer Nostromo.

The Razer Nostromo features:

Ergonomic form factor and tournament-grade layout

16 fully programmable Hyperesponse keys

Programmable eight-way directional thumb pad and scroll wheel (can be used as keys)

Instantaneous switching between eight key maps

Unlimited macro lengths (this is really cool)

Storage of up to 20 different game profiles

Adjustable soft-touch wrist pad for exceptional comfort

Backlit keypad and scroll wheel for total control, even in dark conditions

Enhanced Razer configurator software

Works with Mac or PC
