Every week, WoW Insider brings you [hide]Spiritual Guidance[/hide] for [hide]discipline[/hide], [hide]holy[/hide] and [hide]shadow[/hide] priests. On Wednesdays, shadow priesting expert [hide]Fox Van Allen[/hide] comes from out of the darkness to bask in your loving adoration.

Normally, I’m not a fan of beta testing — it’s kind of frustrating to play a game that you know is going to break, leaving you trapped inside a rock, unrecoverably dead, or stuck on a loading screen. But over the last week, I’ve been spending an inordinate amount of time cruising around the [hide]patch 4.3[/hide] PTR, trying to figure out what it has in store for shadow priests. The things I do for my fans!

Mostly, I’ve been keeping my eye on the new patch 4.3 heroic End of Time. Would it be easy, like Cataclysm heroics currently are, or would it be hard, like Cataclysm heroics used to be? And what would be in store there for shadow priests? The costs associated with [hide]Void Storage[/hide] have been purely placeholders so far on the [hide]patch 4.3[/hide] PTR, but the prices were set high enough that they still spooked many players. We’ve all been cautiously awaiting the reveal of the true costs of the system. Tonight, community manager Lylirra came through for us. For the moment, prices have been set as:

100g to unlock Void Storage

25g to deposit an item

Free for withdrawals

Lylirra warns that these numbers could still change before patch 4.3 goes live. As I mentioned on the [hide]latest WoW Insider Show[/hide], whether or not I personally use the Void Storage feature depended entirely on what the pricing structure would look like. If it costs too much, I wouldn’t use it at all. These prices seem quite reasonable, however.

While the Mac won’t be used for high-end gaming (although certainly many of us play WoW on them), we cannot ignore the impact that Steve Jobs has had on the tech industry as a whole. His innovations have been integral in bringing together the world, and every time you go to pick up your iPhone and access the Auction House, you have Jobs to thanks. Steve Jobs passed away today at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife Laurene and his four children.

Механизм получения очков доблести в MMORPG World of Warcraft будет изменен в патче 4.3, [hide]сообщает[/hide] компания Blizzard Entertainment.

«Мы хотим восстановить изначальный смысл начисления игрокам очков доблести — сделать их своеобразным утешительным призом, — говорится в объявлении. — Например, вам не везет с определенным предметом или в списке добычи, получаемой с некоего босса, просто нет предметов, подходящих вам. Начисление очков доблести в некотором роде мотивирует вас продолжать сражаться с этими боссами (и тем самым помогать остальным участникам). Со временем мы стали начислять очки доблести и по другим поводам (например, за прохождение подземелий на 5 игроков в героическом режиме); при этом у игроков появился стимул играть в нерейдовые дни (или в дни, когда они по каким-либо причинам не могли участвовать в рейде)».

Кроме этого, разработчики пересмотрят списки предметов, которые можно купить за очки доблести.

Blizzard Entertainment обновила [hide]галерею[/hide] дополнения «The Burning Crusade» к MMORPG World of Warcraft, [hide]сообщает[/hide] официальный сайт игры. В подборку концепт-арта вошли изображения различных локаций, в том числе – поселений эльфов крови и подземелий Аукиндона.

Обновлен [hide]список текущих изменений[/hide] патча 4.3, находящегося на тестовом сервере PTR MMORPG World of Warcraft, сообщает официальный американский сайт этого проекта от компании Blizzard Entertainment.

«Пришло время протестировать многие из готовящихся изменений патча 4.3, — говорится в сообщении. – В этой статье вы найдете всю информацию об этом обновлении, которая будет меняться по мере его доработки. Здесь вы можете ознакомиться со списком нововведений, которые мы уже обсуждали на официальных форумах».

Список будет обновляться по мере продвижения процесса тестирования. Некоторые из изменений могут не появиться на PTR до тех пор, пока не выйдет очередной билд.

I know, this [hide]topic was already addressed[/hide] in The Queue, but let’s ignore that for the moment. Someone at WoW Insider gets sick/has a baby/is trapped in Azeroth due to a bad writing plot, and the site visitors are needed to save the day. What column do you think you could handle?

Personally, I think I could step in for [hide]Officers’ Quarters[/hide] or [hide]Drama Mamas[/hide] (Drama Daddy for me, I suppose). I always end up dealing with the social aspects of WoW, especially the ones that require hard choices and hurt feelings. [hide]Gold Capped[/hide] might be something I could handle, depending on the timing. I’ve helped a good amount of folks learn how to stop losing money on the AH (and no, I’m not just telling them to ignore their alts). I normally sit in my chair nodding when I read these articles, and I often point my fellow players to them if we’ve had a similar situation come up in which one of the articles comes to a similar conclusion we discussed.

What column do you think you could fill in for at WoW Insider? Can you take the reins from Alex Ziebert and be the [hide]WoW Archivist[/hide] for day? Fill in for Michael Grey and post a winner for [hide]WoW Moviewatch[/hide]? Or maybe you, like Michael Sacco, have some connections and can conduct the interviews for [hide]Ask a Faction Leader[/hide]?
